Raleigh Mayor Welcomes Bluegrass Awards

Raleigh, North Carolina Mayor Nancy  McFarlane spoke to a small crowd today on a monumental occasion in the history of bluegrass music.

The Mayor announced the acquisition of the biggest week in bluegrass - the IBMA annual convention and awards show for the city of Raleigh.

McFarlane said the "eyes of the world are going to have 3 years" to discover the incredible music scene and richness in arts that exists in Raleigh.
