Summer is officially over and it was one of the busiest yet for Studio Owner and Dobro Wiz, Randy Kohrs Between the many artists recording in Slack Key Studio and performing live around the world, Randy says the warmer months flew by.
Kohrs spent a great deal of his summer as a sideman with the Creedence Clearwater Revival progeniter John Fogerty
Following the European tour, Randy released this statement:
“After much contemplation, I've decided it's more beneficial for me to stay home with my family and continue working in my studio. I'm grateful to my clients for their understanding while I took a brief interlude as a side musician. I truly enjoyed getting to know and play music with the awesomely talented guys in the John Fogerty band and have lots of great memories from the experience!”
Also during the summer months, Kohrs’ Slack Key Studio was the setting for the latest Mojave Audio ad campaign, where Randy and Jim Lauderdale showcased the microphone brand that was heavily used to record Carolina Moonrise (Lauderdale’s latest release). It was printed in recording magazines and newsletters around the world.
