Bluegrass Helps Fight Childhood Cancer to the Tune of 3/4 of a Million Dollars!

Image634909945114808932With your help, Musicians Against Childhood Cancer has donated a total of $716,397.04 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and YMCA, helping children around the world.

That’s the total according to a recent statement made by the organization on their Facebook page, saying that after reading through all the different reports of monies donated from the MACC that it’s very impressive to see it in writing.

The worldwide recognition that Musicians Against Childhood Cancer has captured is truly amazing and the organization is grateful for all contributions.

The donations continue to fund research that will help children struggling and fighting for their lives from these horrendous diseases.

Every year  the support that comes together to make the MACC Music Festival a success is astonishing.

The 2006 IBMA "Album of the Year" was "Celebration of LIfe",which was recorded live at the Musicians Against Childhood Cancer festival, has raised $62,031.04 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The 2012 IBMA "Recorded Event of the Year" was the song "Life Goes On". The album "Life Goes On", which was recorded live at the festival, has raised $22,680.00 for St. Jude. A spokesperson for the festival stated, “…with your continuous effort we know the 2013 festival will be just as successful.”
