Terry Baucom Releases “Never Thought Of Looking Back”

Image635129766941994176Banjo Man, Terry Baucom with an all-star lineup of pickers and singers has released his second solo project – said to be a bit more edgy than the first.

Terry Baucom brings together the acoustic talents of Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Wyatt Rice, Steve Bryant and Aubrey Haynie, along with featured vocals from Marty Raybon, John Schneider, David Mayfield, John Cowan and more!...Bluegrass with a contemporary edge.

An advance single (“What’ll I Do”) from the project was released last spring and did quite well.  Now a second single is also being released simultaneously with the album.

“Martha White, Lester and Earl” is one that Wes Golding wrote for Terry based upon memories he had from working with him in BOONE CREEK.  It’s lyrics speak to Terry’s early career and leaving home to pursue music, while letting memories often take him back home to the things that had a big impact on his childhood.

“Mama standing in the kitchen
Biscuits, gravy, all the fixin’s
I can Hear a banjo ringin’
As I step up on the porch”

Static comes from an old radio
Dad's tryin' to pick up that ole Opry show
Yes we lived in a different world

The song took on an extra special meaning for Terry just a few weeks ago with the passing of his father Lloyd Baucom and the project is now dedicated to his memory.

The album is available on the JohnBoy & Billy record label directly from Terry’s website: TerryBaucom.com
