Railroad Town - Theme of New Single from Gabeharts

PRESCRIPTION BLUEGRASS IMAGE - JIM & VALERIE GABEHARTWest Virginia bluegrass artists, Jim & Valerie Gabehart, announce the release of the title cut from their latest album, I Was Raised in a Railroad Town.

"Kevin Williamson wrote 'I Was Raised in a Railroad Town' about his hometown of Huntington, West Virginia, but it could have easily been written about one of hundreds of small towns across the country," said Jim Gabehart. "We believe that bluegrass audiences everywhere will connect with this song."

Recorded at Eagle Canyon Music in Nashville, the project was produced and engineered by Steve Thomas, and features Valerie Gabehart on guitar and lead vocals, Jim Gabehart on banjo, Brandon Shuping on mandolin, John "Buckwheat" Green on bass and special guests Steve Thomas on fiddle and Randy Kohrs on resophonic guitar.

Jim & Valerie are well known to bluegrass audiences in their home state of West Virginia, as well as surrounding states.  Jim is a five-time West Virginia State Banjo Champion. Valerie is a vocalist that Bluegrass Unlimited called "a gutty, dynamic singer (with) major league talent."
