"I guess people have wondered why I haven't been on the Opry for the past couple of weeks - and won't be there again this weekend. A few weeks ago, I had gotten a diagnosis that worried me. I wanted to get a second opinion on it. I was having some numbness in my hand and I wanted to get everything checked out properly. I'm happy to report that it isn't a stroke causing it, but some nerve damage. I'm being cared for by the great staff at St. Thomas Hospital, and I would like to thank them for their great care and concern. I'd especially like to thank Dr. Dante Graves, Dr. Fleming & Dr. Gerry Aurigemma. We still don't have all the answers, but we're making progress. I want to keep my picking hands working good. They tell me I'm getting out of the hospital tomorrow morning if all goes well.  I hope to be back on the Opry soon."
