Bluegrass Pioneer Tex Logan in Poor Health - Hospitalized!

Image635636843098187121Fiddler Tex Logan who played with Bill Monroe in the 1960s has been hospitalized upon his doctors orders.

After a trip to the local Emergency Room, daughter Jodi Logan says they found too much potassium in the blood due to a kidney disease, a condition known as hyperkalemia.

Potassium is a nutrient that is critical to the function of nerve and muscle cells, including those in your heart.

Originally they thought they would be taking Tex home afterward, but he was so week and exhausted, that didn't happen.

Jody asks for prayers, as she too sounds exhausted from the care-giving.
