The popular North Carolina-based bluegrass ambassadors, Steep Canyon Rangers, have announced a new partnership with Oskar Blues Brewery, brewers of Dale’s Pale Ale, Mama’s Little Yella Pils, and other craft beers.
This collaboration, which kicks off in January 2015, is the culmination of a long-standing friendship rooted in a shared commitment to music, the environment, and community-oriented charitable causes. A shared love of craft beer helped seal the deal.
Award-winning brother/sister duo The Roys' latest release, BLUEGRASS KINDA CHRISTMAS on Rural Rhythm Records, was named one of Rolling Stone's 10 Best Country Christmas Albums of 2014.
The album was released in November and has been met with high critical acclaim. The Roys are in very good company, with other acts including Darius Rucker, Sara Evans, LeAnn Rimes, the Nashville Cast and more.

During last year’s brutal winter months, North Carolina Singer-Songwriter Donna Hughes penned the heart wrenching and powerful song, “Dog On A 10 Foot Chain” that has certainly tugged on the heartstrings.
The song, and her YouTube video, have been featured and shared on numerous popular sites including Talking-Dogs.com, LoveMyDogBlog, and the wide-reaching Dogs Deserve Better Facebook page to name a few.

The board of trustees of the International Bluegrass Music Museum today announced an important transition in its administrative leadership that reflects the organization's rising stature and maturity as a center of preservation and innovation in bluegrass music.
Gabrielle M. Gray, the museum's chief executive, ends her exceptional 12-year tenure as the museum's creative leader and retires as executive director.

The Crooked Road, Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail, has announced the Mountains of Music Homecoming, a nine-day celebration of the communities in Southwest Virginia – their heritage music, cultural assets and outdoor amenities.
This inaugural event, covering 19 counties, four cities, and over 50 communities, will be held June 12 - 20, 2015 and features Crooked Road concerts in more than 30 communities, dozens of community cultural experiences, and over 70 existing traditional music-related concerts, jam sessions and festivals.
